GROUP OF TIBETAN THOGCHAG

Ca. 12th - 18th century AD > A group of Tibetan thogchag and amulets in varied forms, including pierced circular plaques, small figural elements and suspension fittings. Thogchag are small metal objects valued in Tibetan amuletic traditions, often worn or carried for protection. Some were reused from earlier fittings or objects, so their protective significance could develop through a later history of ownership and ritual association rather than their original function. > > Size: 25-110mm x 20-80mm; Weight: 315g > Provenance: Private London Collection; Ex.
