For sale is a wonderful, atmospheric oil painting by the artist Gustav Joh. Buchner from the year 1926. The painting masterfully captures a rural idyll in an impressionistic style: a heavily laden horse-drawn wagon moves along a field path lined with fences, calmly guided by a farmer. The artist employs a dynamic, partly impasto brushwork. Of particular note is the masterfully captured, slightly hazy light, which gives the scene extraordinary liveliness and a mood reminiscent of early morning or late summer. In the distant background a sharp church tower is vaguely discernible. Dimensions: 49 x 60.5 cm, image size: 33.5 x 45 cm Condition: The painting is in very good condition for its age. The colors appear fresh and the paint surface is intact. The work was created on a sturdy panel. The elaborate dark wooden frame with floral ornaments and a gold inner trim frames the painting superbly. The frame shows minor, age-related signs of use and is included as a free accessory.
