Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) - “Adam und Eva, 1916”.

Gustav Klimt: “Adam und Eva, 1916”. Authorized color offset litho, produced premium matte (non-reflective) and with a high color intensity. Condition: the work is in excellent condition. Format: 69 x 23 cm. This artwork Adam und Eva was painted by Gustav Klimt between 1916 and 1918. The original masterwork is in the Belvedere Museum collection in Vienna. Egon Schiele was an important figurative painter from Austria in the 20th century. He produced an abundance of vibrant paintings and drawings, the vast majority of which depict the naked female form. As a protegé of Gustav Klimt, Schiele became known for his raw, psychological intensity and bold depictions of the human figure. His work broke with the ornamental sensuality of the Vienna Secession and introduced a radical honesty that explored vulnerability, sexuality, and the complexity of human emotions. Schiele's distinctive style is marked by expressive line work, distorted anatomy, and a striking use of color and space. His portraits and nudes, often confronting in their gaze and posture, reveal an unrestrained exploration of desire and identity. The artist's ability to capture both physical tension and psychological depth sets him apart from his contemporaries and confirms him as a central figure in the transition from Symbolism to Expressionism. Today, Schiele's works belong to some of the most sought-after pieces on the art market. Original drawings and paintings regularly fetch prices of several millions of dollars at major auction houses. Paintings such as Houses with Colorful Laundry (1914) have earned more than 40 million dollars, while his expressive figure drawings are highly valued by collectors around the world.
