- Gustav Klimt (after), "The Virgin (Die Jungfrau), 1913". Offset lithograph on textured matte paper (approx. 300gsm, refers to paper thickness/density). - Signed in the plate. - Stamp on verso. - Embossed stamp. - Condition: very good. Never framed, never exposed. - Size of each: 42,5 x 44 cm - Gustav Klimt’s "The Virgin" (1913) is one of the artist’s most sensual and richly decorative compositions, where the female body, dream, ornament and colour merge into a hypnotic vision of beauty and desire. The intertwined figures seem to float in a circular movement of sleep, intimacy and transformation, surrounded by brilliant textiles, floral motifs, spirals and jewel-like patterns. With its intense blues, pinks, purples, greens and gold accents, the work belongs to Klimt’s mature Symbolist and Vienna Secession language, where decorative surface becomes emotional and psychological depth. Its dreamlike atmosphere connects naturally with Art Nouveau, Symbolism and decorative modernism, placing Klimt alongside artists such as Egon Schiele, Alphonse Mucha, Odilon Redon, Edvard Munch, Fernand Khnopff, Aubrey Beardsley and Gustav Moreau. This work has strong appeal for admirers of Klimt, Vienna Secession, Symbolist art, female figures, sensual imagery, antique atmosphere, vintage interiors, rare decorative prints and sophisticated wall art. Its vibrant combination of ornamental dresses, pale skin, floral detail and dark background makes it especially suitable for an eclectic interior, boutique bedroom, luxury apartment, creative studio, dressing room or refined collector’s space. It can sit beautifully beside wood furniture, velvet, antique mirrors, sculpture, Murano glass, Eames chairs, Gio Ponti references, mid-century design, gold accents, rare ceramics or limited edition decorative objects, creating a powerful dialogue between art, fashion, interior design and collector taste. With its colourful intensity and intimate atmosphere, "The Virgin" is also a beautiful and distinctive gift for lovers of Klimt, Art Nouveau and feminine imagery. For those interested in Klimt, Schiele, Mucha, Matisse, Picasso, Kandinsky, Miró, Dalí, Warhol, Basquiat, Haring, Rothko, Lichtenstein, Hockney, Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Jeff Koons, Kaws and Karl Lagasse, "The Virgin" offers a rare combination of sensuality, symbolism, luxury and decorative power. Its rich ornamental identity fits perfectly with today’s trend for curated interiors, where fine art prints can live naturally beside Rolex, Cartier, Patek Philippe, Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Lego, Star Wars, Pokémon, champagne, whisky and other icons of style, rarity and collecting. A bold and unforgettable Klimt image, ideal for adding colour, mystery, elegance and emotional depth to any sophisticated interior.
