Hamelink - We Need Connection

This original work by Bart Hamelink, titled We Need Connection, centers on the human need for contact, love and belonging. The central figure seems, in the middle of a chaotic world, to be searching for someone to connect with. The loose words and phrases, such as “Connection”, “Just need some connection” and “Need some love”, reinforce that feeling. Behind the raw and almost humorous appearance lies a recognizable theme: ultimately we all have a need for contact with others. The combination of yellow, black, white and red accents, together with the rough lines, texts and different layers of paint, gives the work a spontaneous and urban look. We Need Connection is executed in acrylic on canvas, is a unique original, signed by the artist and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Note: the interior photos are ambience images and serve solely as impression. Because of the size, the canvas will be carefully rolled and packed in a sturdy square shipping tube. The work is delivered without the shown frame and without a stretcher.
