Hamilton - - B♭clarinet - United States - 1944 (No reserve price)

This Bb metal clarinet from the Conn American house has been fully restored and is of a power like the ones that come from this number-one American brand..Brand: Hamilton. It has a small dent in the bell area (at the back) from a knock that has been repaired, but if I don’t mention it, you might take a long time to spot it. Apart from that it’s impressive. It comes from the Elkhart, Indiana family and is inferred by the type of bore or short neck, like those with thicker patina. This one, I insist, has superior power and by the bell crease I can’t tell it apart at a glance from my King Silver Sonic, no joke. Well, as I was saying, all the high-quality buffet pads have been fitted and I’ve checked that the keys have good playability and optimal pressure, no shortcuts. This is very important for its durability, both in adjustment and life. Its case is quite worn from the years. But as I always say, maybe one day I’ll sand and restore cases, but for now I love restoring and adjusting and enjoying how the clarinets, saxophones and flutes sit without a hint of leakage. It’s the way that when we blow into a wind instrument with our body we feel like coming back to do it again and again… that air doesn’t escape from our lungs. Another clarinet that can’t be found new on today’s market and that I send to this emblematic, well-used (restored) auction so that smart people know what they’re buying. Good luck with the bid.
