A fine hand-carved butterfly crafted from green onyx, mounted on a natural amethyst cluster. The wings are each cut separately from the stone and polished, with the vein pattern of a real butterfly wing as relief on the surface. The onyx has a soft cream-green tint with warm honey-brown bands running through the wings – a natural pattern that varies with each piece. The body and antennae are made of brass, giving the butterfly the appearance of hovering just above the crystal. The pedestal is an untreated piece of amethyst druse from Brazil: hundreds of lilac quartz points in a natural geode wall, with white calcite and agate inclusions at the edges. The combination of the polished cutwork and the rough crystal layer makes the piece lively from every angle. Compact in size and therefore suitable for a desk, windowsill or bookshelf. Also a popular gift item. Metaphysical The butterfly symbolizes transformation and new beginnings. Amethyst is seen as a calming stone that supports mental clarity and inner calm – a classic combination within the crystal world.
