Universal symbol of life, rebirth, and creation — This elegant specimen is a meticulously hand-carved and hand-polished ornamental egg, carved from a solid block of pink quartzite. Quartzite, a metamorphic rock composed primarily of quartz, presents here with a finely granular texture, the result of recrystallization under high pressures and temperatures. This geological process gives the material extraordinary cohesiveness and intrinsic durability, as well as a remarkable luster after working. The piece stands out for its fascinating color range, spanning from delicate pink and salmon to warmer terracotta and beige tones, with subtle grayish hues. The surface, impeccably mirror-polished, enhances the bright reflections of the individual quartz crystals that form the rock, creating a luminous effect that changes with the incidence of light. Thin natural veining and mineral inclusions can be observed, drawing unique patterns and giving each egg a distinctive and unrepeatable character. The ovoid shape is an archetype universal, deeply rooted in many cultures as a symbol of fertility, new life, perfection, and cyclicity. The choice of pink quartzite for this sculpture emphasizes its message of harmony and regeneration. Coming from the rich deposits of Madagascar, this pink quartzite egg is not only a refined decorative object but also a collectible piece that embodies geological beauty and artisanal skill. Ideal for enriching a Wunderkammer, an office, or a home environment, this object combines the naturalist interest of the mineral with the elegance of a classic form. Its presence is striking, and it lends itself to being displayed as a focal point of a collection or as a decor element of great visual and symbolic impact. Its natural condition and meticulous polishing guarantee its preservation and lasting charm. *** Name: Pink Quartzite Ornament Egg Classification: Metamorphic Rock (Quartzite) Species: Quartz Origin: Madagascar Dimensions: 127 x 97 x 97 mm Weight: 1745 g Material: Pink quartzite Work: Hand carving and polishing Conditions: Natural, excellent
