Catalog of the exhibition held in the graphic arts gallery of the National Museum of Modern Art from January 26 to March 28, 1983, devoted to the torn papers of Hans / Jean Arp. A particularly interesting publication on this essential aspect of Arp’s work, in which the tearing of paper and the intervention of chance play a direct role in the creation of biomorphic forms. The book includes reproductions of works, photographs, documents, and texts, including Arp’s remarks on abstract art. ISBN 2-85850-185-8. The cover is somewhat worn, with stains, scuffs, creases, and numerous pieces of old adhesive tape; the interior is in good condition.
