Representative of a bank that offers one of the most "fitting" titles on the entire State of Connecticut. This well-circulated $2 Obsolete offers a vignette of the iconic Charter Oak at center which fell to a lighting storm around the time this note was issued. This institution ultimately became the Charter Oak National Bank of Hartford (Charter# 486) in 1865. PCGS Currency comments "Edge Repairs; Mounting Remnants & Damage on Back." Estimate: $100 - $200.
