HELLENISTIC CARNELIAN, LAPIS LAZULI AND CHALCEDONY BEAD NECKLACE

Ca. 300 - 100 BC. A restrung necklace with an upper section of barrel-shaped and elongated carnelian beads. The lower section combines carnelian beads with lapis lazuli and pale chalcedony beads. Fitted with a modern hook clasp. Size: 230mm x 15mm; Weight: 50g Provenance: From a private London collection; earlier held in an old family collection formed over the period 1960s�2000.
