HELLENISTIC LAPIS LAZULI AND CARNELIAN BEAD NECKLACE
Ca. 300 - 100 BC. A restrung necklace composed of spherical and barrel-shaped lapis lazuli and carnelian beads alternating at regular intervals, with a leaf-shaped lapis lazuli pendant at the centre. Fitted with a modern hook clasp. Size: 240mm x 30mm; Weight: 49g Provenance: From a private London collection; earlier held in an old family collection formed over the period 1960s�2000.
