Henry VIII (1509-1547), Posthumous coinage, Half-Sovereign, Tower, no mm., young King Edward enthroned, rev. crowned shield with supporters, grapple below, reads medi, square pellet stops both sides 6.12g/10h (SCBI Schneider 658; Whitton pl. VI, 9; N 1865; S 2393). Attractive orange tone, good very fine with a strong portrait but some areas of weakness [Graded by NGC as AU 53] £2,000-£2,600.
