Hierarchies

The Artwork presents two fields in tension that, although visually divided, belong to the same body. The upper panel, dense, dark, and oppressive, and the lower one, fragmented, dispersed, and gestural, function as the positive and negative of the same matrix. Far from establishing a hierarchy of power where one dominates the other, the piece proposes a relationship of interdependence. What is presence in one part is absence in the other. What is weight becomes a trace. It is a metaphor for how the world is articulated in two sides that intertwine, that need each other, that share the same identity, but without one being above the other. A reflection on power, collective identity, and the memory of matter.
