Highboard - veneer - Secretary desk / Bar cabinet

This mid-century cabinet from the 1960s is part of a larger wall unit and impresses with its clean, functional design and warm wood appearance. The combination of a fold-down compartment at the top and closed storage below makes it versatile—usable, for example, as a bar cabinet, secretary desk, or classic storage furniture. The upper cabinet features a downward-opening front with sturdy side hinges. Inside there is a shelf that provides additional storage. Below lies an open compartment as well as a two-door cabinet with a shelf inside and an original lock including keys. The piece is in authentic, unrestored condition. On the veneer there are minor, professional repairs visible, as well as age-related signs of use such as scratches, impressions, and slight edge wear. These do not affect function or stability but emphasize the piece’s original character and history. The interior surfaces also show typical patina. The legs have been renewed, but fit stylistically and historically with the original piece and blend harmoniously into the overall appearance. A solid, characterful piece of furniture with honest charisma – ideal for lovers of authentic vintage interiors.
