Oil painting on canvas Dimensions: 22 x 26 cm. Framed 32 x 36 cm. Signed on the back. This painting shows a beautifully balanced composition with apples as the central objects. The carefully coordinated colors enhance the whole and give it a harmonious appearance. A digital certificate of authenticity is included with the work. Rhythm and structure form the core of Hildegard Stehr's work. Initially trained as a graphic designer at the Royal Academy of Visual Arts in Den Bosch, she developed a visual language in which order and irregularity challenge each other. Her work is characterized by rhythmically constructed planes, stacked forms and a dynamic interplay of light and shadow. Stehr plays with contrasts such as smooth and rough, cut and tear, strength and vulnerability. Its apparent simplicity is the result of careful consideration. The artist is regularly invited to exhibitions. Her work is in private collections in Europe and beyond.
