Holy water font - 1970-1980 - Tabletop holy water font

Vintage biscuit porcelain wall-mounted Holy Water Font with velvet frame - Angel with Shell - Mid-20th Century Description of the lot Elegant vintage wall-mounted Holy Water Font (for a room), dating to the mid-20th century, crafted in a classical devotional style. The piece consists of a central porcelain sculpture depicting a guardian angel with wings spread while holding a shell for holy water. The facial details, curly hair, and the drapery of the robe are well finished and preserve the grace typical of sacred art productions. The figurine is mounted on a wall-shaped panel upholstered in antique pink/peach velvet, framed by a gilded moulding. The back features the characteristic handmade mounting system and a metal hook for hanging. A piece with strong visual and decorative impact, ideal for lovers of vintage religious collectibles and classic home décor. Angel statue: 14 x 8 cm The angel figure is intact in all its sculptural parts (face, wings, body). The velvet and gilding of the frame show slight wear corresponding to its age. The shell basin has suffered a break and has been restored by gluing the fragments. The restoration is solid, but the seam lines and dark threadings remain visible up close from the outside (see close-up photos). Please carefully view the photo gallery before bidding, particularly the details concerning the restoration of the shell.
