Hong Kong Revenue 1941 (16 Jan.)

Hong Kong Revenue 1941 (16 Jan.)

Hong Kong Revenue 1941 (16 Jan.) a Land sale and purchase agreement bearing King George V revenue stamps $100 and $5, cancelled by the Hong Kong Stamp Office in red embossing seal. However, on May 8, 1943, during the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong, an official seal reading "Housing Registration Office of the Governor-General's Office for the Occupied Territory of Hong Kong" was stamped on the document. This kind of pre-war property lease contract that was re-verified by the Japanese occupation government is relatively rare.
