HONG KONG (SAR). Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation. 10 Dollars

HONG KONG (SAR). Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation. 10 Dollars, 1.3.1898. P-143x. Contemporary Counterfeit. PMG Very Fine 25. Serial number 653234. Blue on salmon pink, bank arms at upper centre, '$10' on each side, central panel stating legal text, hand signed at lower left, reverse orange-red, bank arms and coastal scene within the ornate vignette. It is a well-executed contemporary forgery, betrayed by the slightly odd-looking serial numbers and the slight crudeness of the printing. A far superior example than the 15 Net example that we sold in April 2025 for $1140 including the Buyer's Premium. PMG Comments "Erasures, Soiling, Rust Stains."

Estimate:£378.37
