'Duress' note, so-called because the serial number seen on this example was issued during World War II when employees of HSBC were forced to issue notes by the Japanese, and the notes were thus issued under duress. Historically significant and quite scarce, this example faces up well, with much of its original, rich green colours intact. PMG Comments "Annotation, Minor Rust."
