The 50 Dollars has always been a lightly used denomination in Hong Kong, and thus its issuance has always been low compared to the 5, 10, and even the 100 Dollars. Therefore, solid serial numbers on these $50 notes are very seldom found and command a high premium. The X suffix is the third to last letter of the suffix issue before the notes were issued with the A/1 prefix in March 1981. Estimate: $1,500 - $2,000.
