A catalog devoted to the early years of Kees Van Dongen and, more specifically, to his works on paper from 1895 to 1912. Anita Hopmans’ study allows readers to rediscover an essential part of the artist’s early work: drawings, watercolors, illustrations, and graphic works, from his beginnings in the Netherlands through his move to Paris and his emergence as a leading figure in the avant-garde. Extensive documentation and numerous black-and-white and color reproductions, including several full-page illustrations. Published by the Réunion des Musées Nationaux, in association with the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon. Cover slightly scuffed and scratched, with minor wear along the edges; interior in good condition.
