Calamites (tree fern) – compact specimen Carboniferous Period – Northern Spain (≈ 300 million years) Despite its size, the specimen stands out for the high clarity of the vertical striations on the trunk, clearly visible across the entire surface, making it a very representative piece of the taxon. Keeps folds characteristic of its fossilization and physical traits. The relief definition is especially notable relative to its size. It still preserves much of the bark from one end to the other. The piece is preserved in a completely natural state, has not been altered or intervened. No varnishes or chemical treatments, keeping its original patina intact. Compact and stable specimen, ideal as a study piece, for small display cases or as a reference fossil within a collection specialized in Carboniferous flora.
