Hubertus Hierl (1940) - Pablo Picasso - ein letzter Blick...

Vintage - artist's print on AGFA silver gelatin paper (baryta) - condition excellent. - on the back an artist's stamp as well as pencil notes: image number, title, place and year of capture - handwritten signature - COLLECTOR'S COPY - with mat - delivery without frame The photographer Hubertus Hierl (born 1940) was able to photograph Pablo Picasso with his consent during a bullfight in Fréjus (South of France - 7.8.1966). A stroke of luck! The photographs show Picasso in an environment that, throughout his life, belonged to his major themes: bullfighting. The complete sequence comprises over 100 photographs of Picasso and is the last extensive public documentary of Picasso. Werner Spies, Picasso expert and former director of the Centre Pompidou in Paris, writes in the book "Picasso at the Bullfight": "The shots by Hubertus Hierl show anticipation, tension and fear … they show what Picasso sees and feels." This presents the opportunity here to bid in the future on Picasso photographs (Vintage - on silver gelatin/baryta paper) by Hubertus Hierl. - Images with mat - delivery without frame. Provenance: directly from the artist's archive - authenticity guaranteed. Literature and illustration: Picasso at the Bullfight. Photographs by Hubertus Hierl. Text by Werner Spies. Cologne 2002 Picasso en la plaza de toros. Fotografias de Hubertus Hierl. Fundación Picasso. Museo Casa Natal - Málaga 2006
