An Ode to Vietnam Born in 1966 in Cần Thơ, in the heart of the Mekong Delta, Hung Richard is an artist whose work celebrates the visual richness and serenity of Vietnam. Heavily influenced by the lush landscapes of his homeland, he has developed a painting technique that captures with great sensitivity both daily life and the majesty of nature. His style is characterized by a vibrant use of color and the ability to infuse a poetic atmosphere into each of his subjects. Whether depicting the gentle bustle of a historic street or the monumental quiet of the Vietnamese mountains, Hung Richard transforms familiar scenes into deeply evocative compositions. His paintings reflect careful observation: It tenderly captures traditional architecture, capturing the soul of houses nestled in generous nature. He vividly illustrates rural life, the movement of animals and scenes of everyday life.
