This stunning icon is a reproduction (print) of the Saint John the Almsgiver, a subject based on the work preserved at the Mandralisca Museum in Cefalù. This is a fine reproduction from the Florentine School, made in the early 20th century, reflecting the taste and high level of artistic craftsmanship of the period. The image is printed on paper and subsequently mounted on a wooden panel. The panel is set within a distinctive frame composed of bands decorated with engraved motifs, embellished at the corners with four decorative studs, one of which is missing. The overall piece has a handcrafted and decorative character typical of Florentine production during the first decades of the 20th century. An interesting object for collectors of decorative arts, art reproductions and Florentine School craftsmanship from the early 20th century. The Icon measures 44 x 34 cm. Condition: Overall, the item is in very good condition, with some minor abrasions, small areas of paint loss, and slight discoloration in the lower part. One of the four corner studs is missing. The artifact is particularly interesting as an example of typical Florentine craftsmanship for cultural tourism created by local workshops and studios for the market of visitors and collectors of Italian "art souvenirs." Objects of this type were purchased as high-quality souvenirs, often combined with reproductions of Renaissance masterpieces, and today they are highly decorative and sought after for classic interiors. The item is in good overall condition, with regular signs of age and wear. It will be carefully packaged and shipped with registered track-and-trace via express courier.
