Icon - Saints Constantine and Helen - .875 (84 Zolotniki) silver - Russian

Russian icon of Saints Constantine and Helen with a silver 84 zolotniki oklad – Russia, early 19th century Beautiful Russian Orthodox icon representing the imperial saints Constantine the Great and Saint Helen, venerating the True Cross. The faces and hands, finely painted, contrast with a rich repoussé silver oklad finely chased, decorated with geometric and floral motifs. The oklad bears the Russian hallmark “84” (875/1000) as well as a goldsmith’s mark “А.К.” (AK). The inscriptions in Cyrillic clearly identify the two saints. The icon was repainted in the 20th century. Dimensions: 17.5 × 21 cm. Very good condition with slight wear consistent with age, minor deformations of the oklad, and beautiful original patina. The photos form an integral part of the object’s description and complement its presentation. They allow you to assess its condition and features. Please examine them carefully before any purchase. The item will be carefully packed and shipped with a tracking number to ensure fast and secure delivery. Happy bidding
