Illuminated - Qajar Persian Marriage Contract - 1903

An exceptionally decorative Persian marriage contract from the Qajar period, dated 1321 AH (1903–1904 CE). The manuscript is housed in a plain leather binding and features elegant calligraphy, richly ornamented pages with colourful floral motifs and gold-toned details, and several official seals. The carefully arranged panels and elaborate decoration make this a remarkable example of a Persian legal document from the early 20th century.
