Important 1975 Joe Morgan Cincinnati Reds World Series...

Important 1975 Joe Morgan Cincinnati Reds World Series Championship trophy (NL MVP Award Season). Miniature 12" tall version of the iconic trophy presented to the Championship team each season as given to Joe Morgan following the Reds World Series victory. Very rare offering and certainly among the most significant player presented Championship trophies to ever come to auction. The piece stands 12" tall with brass pennants representing each team in both the American and National Leagues ringing the base. At the center is a brass ring topped with crown finial. Reds and Red Sox World Series press pin facades are mounted in the front. A brass ring which encircles the base reads "Cincinnati Reds World Champions 1975, Joe Morgan, Second Baseman". Few areas of minor surface wear and light aging are visible with overall appearance presenting as very fine. The trophy dates to the first of two back to back championships for the Reds and back to back NL MVP awards for Morgan. Highly desirable World Championship presentational piece with relation to one of the greatest second baseman in MLB history. Includes letter of provenance from Theresa Morgan: EX/MT-NM
