An impeccable and magnificent jeweled case—originally designed to hold a compact—featuring exquisite craftsmanship by a prominent master jeweler/goldsmith from the 1940s. It is crafted from heavy 585 gold (14-karat) and weighs 57.10 grams. The front and back are identical, both adorned with exquisite relief work and intricate, masterfully executed engravings. The interior, finished in smooth gold, includes a fine mirror. It bears various hallmarks—likely Finnish in origin—including a crown, the designer’s/goldsmith’s initials, and the "585" purity mark for 14-karat gold (please see images). This authentic, flawless piece is a true work of art, in impeccable condition with no signs of wear. It comes in its original vintage leather case. Dimensions: 6.0 cm x 1.0 cm.
