IMPORTANT CABIN TRUNK, LATE 19TH–EARLY 20TH CENTURY Wooden trunk with metal reinforcements; the top bears the inscription: “F. PERRIN Rue Froidevaux Paris XIV.” Dimensions: approx. 59 x 82 x 52 cm. In its current condition, shows signs of age; the lock needs attention. This likely belonged to the family of physicist Jean Perrin (Nobel Prize winner, 1926): Jean Perrin, his son Francis Perrin (himself a distinguished physicist and High Commissioner for Atomic Energy), as well as the women of the family (such as the painter Aline Lapicque-Perrin) owned the family apartments and studios at No. 4 and along Rue Froidevaux.
