Impressive, Large Necklace of Antique Coral in Torsade Form Created

Did you know that multi-strand necklaces, where you can twist the individual strands together, are called torsades? This term is derived from the French "torsadée", which means "twisted". The beauty of such twisted torsades is that you can wear them with intertwined strands as well as untwisted and free. Thus, a new picture can and should always arise. The torsade here is made of genuine antique Mediterranean coral, which has been cut into countless small spheres and individual drums. This precious coral, called "Sardegna coral" after the place of its occurrence, inspires by its wonderfully rich colour. They are antique corals of the years around 1890, which convince by their intensive colourfulness and a deep red in numerous shades. The pearls match beautifully in size, shape and hue, so much so that our goldsmith has used them to recreate the present necklace with a modern clasp. The clasp made of yellow gold holds the ten newly strung strands of antique coral securely together. A wonderful piece of jewellery made from the most beautiful materials.
