A true masterpiece of the earth, a photograph of the marine life of the Jurassic period, excavated from the Anti-Atlas mountain range, located in the southern part of Morocco, famous for its numerous geological formations. Ammonites played an important role in Earth's geological history, having lived for over 300 million years, from the Devonian to the end of the Cretaceous, about 65 million years ago, when they disappeared abruptly, together with many other animals and plants, due to a mass extinction event. In the Anti-Atlas mountain range, ammonite fossils can be found in many geological formations, including the Zagora Limestone, the Taroudant Limestone, and the Foum Zguid Limestone. These geological deposits date back to various geological periods, from the early Devonian to the late Cretaceous.
