Indonesian Executioner’s Kris Sword - Carved Wood Hilt & Brass-Clad Sheath

Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Javanese. An Indonesian kris dagger with a straight pattern-forged steel blade, likely older than its fittings and possibly passed down through generations, as blades were traditionally retained while handles and sheaths were replaced with wear. The hilt is carved from dense dark hardwood with scrolling floral motifs and a banded collar. The wood scabbard has a curved crosspiece and a tapering nickel-brass sleeve. A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany all winning bids. Item # 203782
