The box has Chinese engraved characters on the top side, which still needs to be deciphered. The box has a nice age related patina. Provenance: This ink box comes from a closed collection of rare old and antique Chinese ink-boxes. This is an authentic scholar ink-box in fine condition, hardly not offered lately. Rare! Date: Republic period 1912-1949. Size: Measures 6,3 cm * 6,3 cm * 3,1 cm. Condition: Very good! Only age related wear and tear and some usual small dents at the bottom. No damage!
