The national side of the coin shows the four members of the band – Adam Clayton, Bono, The Edge and Larry Mullen Jr. – together with the U2 inscription and the note on the anniversary 1976–2026. The design is by Shaughn McGrath and was developed in collaboration with U2. The coin is issued in the official BU Coincard. The mintage of this collector's version is limited to 150,000 copies.
