Ancient Italian painting from the 17th century. Oil on canvas depicting a religious subject, Jesus stripped of his garments, a scene of the Passion of Christ with good painterly handling. A large-format painting with beautiful decoration, rich in figures and decorative elements, for antiquarians, interior decorators, and collectors of ancient sacred art. Old non-contemporary wooden frame adapted to the painting, carved, lacquered and gilded (lacquering and gilding from the 20th century). The work has undergone an intensive conservation/restoration intervention, retouching, replacement of the frame and color restoration in several points (see photo). Ideal painting to place in a living room or study, with strong visual impact, characterized by a particular perspective. Overall, the painting is in good conservation condition with some signs of restoration. Painted size H 116 x L 155 cm.
