Italy - Italian tropical helmet, WWII - Military helmet

Original Italian tropical helmet WWII This type of tropical helmet was worn, among others, in Abyssinia (present-day Ethiopia) during the Italian-Ethiopian War of 1935–1936, under Emperor Haile Selassie. A similar model was also used within the German army. Around 1941, soldiers of the Deutsche Afrika-Korps wore such tropical helmets. The German examples were often fitted with two metal emblems on the sides: on one side the eagle with the swastika and on the other side the red-white-black shield. This example is produced without these emblems. The helmet is in nice used condition and has size 55.
