Italy Kingdom - Lieutenancy - authorized delivery taxed port - fourth - RARE

Italy 1945 – Exceptional franking with 20 Authorized-Delivery stamps – Taxed letter 12 Lire - Fourth-rate Interesting letter dated April 3, 1945, sent from Ronciglione to Viterbo, with a very peculiar multiple franking consisting of 20 stamps of 10 centesimi from the Authorized Delivery, exceptionally used for ordinary mail. Of great interest is the shipping date, just two days after the postal rates change on April 1, 1945. The letter, weighing 55 grams (fourth-rate), is franked for only 2 Lire instead of 8 and shows a tax of 12 Lire, cleared by three fiscal stamps of 10 + 1 + 1 Lire. A document of notable historical-philatelic interest, which combines an unusual franking, a newly implemented tariff change, and a perfectly documented taxation. Preservation as per photographs.
