Italy, Republic 5 Lire Lotto 5/10 Lire inclusa 1 Lira...

Unique Lot 37 Historical Coins: 5 and 10 Lire Italy plus the RAREST 5 LIRE COIN WITH MINTING ERROR 1969, 10 LIRE OLIVE 1948 and RARE Vatican City Pieces from Pope Pius XII. Prestigious and extensive collection consisting of a single lot of 37 historical coins, ideal for both seasoned collectors and anyone seeking a complete selection of postwar coinage. All coins are carefully preserved in the appropriate clear protective sheets for albums, in an average condition with crisp and well-defined reliefs. The core comprises 17 coins of 5 Lire from the Dolphin series in Italma (1.0 g, diameter 20.2 mm), characterized by the bow on the obverse and the dolphin on the reverse. The years present are 1951, two pieces from 1952, 1953, 1954, two pieces from 1955, 1956, 1967, 1968, 1969 and the ’70s series consisting of 1970, 1971, 1972 and two pieces from 1973. Among these stands out the 5 Lire 1969 issue in the highly sought-after minting error variant with the millesimal 1 inverted, a piece of great numismatic interest. A complement to these are 17 coins of 10 Lire from the Wheat Sheaf and Plow series in Italma (1.6 g, diameter 23.3 mm), with the plow on the obverse and the ears of wheat on the reverse. The sequence includes the block from 1951 to 1956 with the coveted 1954 issue, the group from 1965 to 1969, and the years from 1970 to 1975. Enriching and embellishing the collection are three pieces of great historic significance: a 10 Lire “Olive Branch and Winged Horse” from 1948 in Italma (2.0 g, diameter 26 mm), a premier piece with the olive branch on the obverse and Pegasus on the reverse, together with two Vatican City rarities minted under Pope Pius XII, namely the 10 Lire of 1953 and the 5 Lire with the papal effigy and the Vatican symbols. A collection rich in history, minting errors, and valuable papal pieces, offered in a single lot.
