Property of a Private Collector, Hilton Head Island, SC Description: Itzik Benshalom (1945-2018), "The Family", Bronze, signed and numbered 16/24 along bottom edge, comprised of 4 separate interlocking pieces. " Benshalom was born in Hadera, Israel in 1945. He became a merchant marine at the age of fifteen. After completing his military service to the Israeli Navy he and his brother-in-law set up a foundry specializing in the lost wax method of casting sculpture. For years he worked with other artists from Israel and all over the world, helping them to realize their concepts. Eventually he stopped casting other artist's work and began his own journey as a sculptor. Benshalom was represented by Christy Contemporary Art, London & Nahan Galleries New York & New Orleans. Today his sculptures are in private, public, and corporate collections throughout the world including Israel, Japan, England, and the United States; and the Museum Collections of Boca Raton Museum of Art- FL, Ground for Sculpture Museum- Hamilton, N.J, Flint Institute of Art- MIC, and Museum of Fine Art- Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. "Measurements: Height: 10 1/2 in. x Width: 9 1/4 in. x Depth: 3 5/8 in Condition: Good condition.
