Superb IWC watch from 1965, equipped with the calibre 8531 automatic movement, one of the finest calibres ever produced by the Schaffhausen factory. An elegant, technical and ideally proportioned watch, perfect for lovers of reliable and refined vintage watches. Specifications Brand: IWC - International Watch Co. Model: Classique, Ref 602 Year: 1965 (the watch was delivered on June 22, 1965) Case: steel, n° 1688794, diameter 34 mm Dial: silver original, central seconds, date at 3 o'clock Movement: mechanical automatic, IWC calibre 8531, n° 1699524 Bracelet: leather custom-made black lizard (new) Buckle: steel, new and IWC-signed Signatures: dial, case, movement and crown (IWC fish) Condition & Authenticity Watch 100% authentic (IWC certificate supplied), preserved in very good condition for a 1965 piece Case steel in excellent condition with micro-marks of use. Original dial (unrestored), with very faint oxidation spots, a charm typical of well-preserved historical watches. Original crown stamped with the fish. Overhaul & operation Watch overhauled twice recently: overhaul 2024 New complete overhaul in September 2025 at ABP Concept, Paris to ensure perfect operation of the watch. Very stable time-keeping, clean and lubricated movement. The watch is ready to wear immediately.
