Fresh interior. A famous counter-revolutionary work written by the French journalist and pamphleteer Jean-Gabriel Peltier (1760-1825) published in London at the author’s or in Brussels. A former contributor to the royalist satirical newspaper Les Actes des Apôtres, Peltier had to flee France after the bloody uprising of August 10, 1792 (which saw the massacre of the Swiss Guards and the fall of the constitutional monarchy).
