marked 'Fort Stewart' to cover, the account in the name of Alexander Stewart Esq., by Laughlin McNeale [his factor]. The entries in the folio include payments to named individuals for goods and services including enslaved labour. The final page entry is headed '...Mortgage Account with the Slaves Lands &c thereunto belonging to Samual Vaughan and Laughlin McNeale'. [A later note state McNeale died in 1765]. The book has also been used in reverse as a library catalogue, with few entries under each alphabetical letter, Ogston Hall, Derbyshire, Collection of the late Mr Gladwyn Turbutt (1927-2025), Please register to request a condition report
