Type II, Machine made crenellations; security edge. A wonderfully handsome Mint State Oban exhibiting nearly as-made metal quality, the surfaces free of wear or major defects with only some fading to the lower portion of the ink. The latter feature, however, attests that this piece has not been re-inked, as is not infrequent for these desired Oban issues. The crenellations and stamps are neatly and boldly applied, and some light orange-gold patina has developed, accentuating the surfaces. Accompanied by JNDA photo certificate serial number 83229.
