Jaq. Lasserre et Cie - Ferdinand et Isabelle d'Espagne...

Very beautiful and highly sought-after eighteenth-century jeweler’s balance used by master goldsmiths when buying gold or silver coins for weight estimation. Handcrafted by the old Lasserre establishments which produced balances for foreign countries, in this case for Spain, hence its series of square monetary weights marked with the era’s value for calibration. On the lid a table of currencies for an estimation or equivalence for gold or silver coins. Various weights including a double ducat, stamped with a heraldic laurel foliage and engraved Spagna doffie emblem of the crown and various slivers of divisions also engraved. Wooden case carved in the mass for storing the balance with the two copper trays supported by small wires. Two hooks for the closure. Incomplete box but can be completed by seeking on appropriate sites. Very rare item, even the photos speak for themselves. Collectible object or beautiful decorative piece with guaranteed effect. Prompt, careful shipping with tracking and insurance.
