Jara Marzulli - Invocazione

Oil painting on canvas in the style of the artist's early period of success. Among the very few works remaining from those years. The woman spills onto the floor does not fully reveal her face because she is engaged in a dance recalling rituals from southern Italy. Concentrated in a highly perspective gesture, the fatigue of movement is perceptible. With every work, the certificate of authenticity of the original work will also be shipped. Jara Marzulli's works are part of private collections in many parts of the world, museum collections such as in Athens, Catania at MacS, in the Gaeta Art Gallery and at the Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera and in Cadiz, Spain. There are numerous publications in important catalogs of the best figurative art, books and magazines, both print and online with international reach. The latest book currently available for pre-order published by "The guide artists", which collects the entire story with images of many works by the artist. "La statura della palma" published by Selvatiche Edizioni, with 15 images of her works, in collaboration with the poet Francesca del Moro, is available on various stores, platforms or by orders@selvaticheedizioni.com Jara Marzulli born in Bari and graduated from the Bari Art High School and later from the Academy of Fine Arts of Bari with top marks, and since 1998 has participated in exhibitions and competitions, quickly earning recognitions, awards and important selections. Her figurative realist painting style immediately becomes recognizable and since 2004 international experiences begin through fairs, biennials and important exhibitions. Her art grows and tells of a sensibility that is both ecstatic and carnal, made even more incisive and moving by the technical perfection that characterizes the artist. A lucid and wrenching expressive quality, an indefinable purity that dresses in painting, a constant play of displacements, of role reversals between the artist who paints and the subject depicted. Numerous prestigious Biennials and art exhibitions in Italy and abroad where she exhibits, for example in Turkey, at Art Taipei, Taiwan, China at Red Elation gallery, Hong Kong, at the MEAM Museum in Barcelona, Dublin, at the Mainz Museum, Buenos Aires in Argentina, and in London. Jara Marzulli's figures have intense, direct, frontal gazes. They have the dignity of subjects ready to respond with great immediacy. The characters that almost fill the canvas space manage to visually represent men, women, girls and boys who seem to recognize the observer as a stranger, sustain their gaze, repel it, and distance themselves to defend the silence of their precious inner world. social: facebook: @Jara Marzulli Arte ; instagram: @jaramarzulli jaramarzulli.com https://theguideartiststore.com/shop/p/jara-marzulli
