Title: Golden Landscape ㅤ School: Catalan School (20th century) ㅤ Author: Jaume Mercadé Vergés (Sabadell, 1922–2017) ㅤ Style: Impressionism / Landscape Expressionism ㅤ Technique: Oil on panel ㅤ State: Generally good condition, with slight signs of aging. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: The painting sits within the Catalan landscape tradition of the 20th century, incorporating a vigorous brushstroke and a marked formal simplification. The use of abundant material and the intensity of yellows and earth tones show affinities with Post-Impressionism and with certain expressionist currents dedicated to reinterpret the landscape through color and texture. ㅤ Jaume Mercadé Vergés was a 20th-century artist whose work relates to the landscape and to a personal interpretation of nature through painting with a strong material presence. In this work, the freedom of execution and the simplification of natural elements stand out especially. ㅤ Small landscape executed with a dense, impasted brushstroke, dominated by yellows, ochres, browns and blacks. Trees and masses of vegetation are distributed around a central illuminated area, constructed through intense color contrasts. The pictorial matter takes on a fundamental value, generating relief and movement on the surface. ㅤ Dark wooden frame with a wide profile, classic finish, accompanied by a small identifying plaque at the bottom. ㅤ Observations: The artwork may suffer damage during transport even with proper packaging. In that case, we will require photographs of the flaws to proceed with compensation. The customer’s satisfaction is always our priority. ㅤ Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by a surcharge due to reasons such as being outside a continental territory, excess size or weight of the item. PremiArt will in no case cover this surcharge. ㅤ The courier that must pass through the Swiss border can be delayed much more than usual, so, if possible, to speed up processing, we will provide the Customs number that is holding the shipment so that the customer can release it and thus reach its destination. Experience has shown us that this is the most effective solution for both parties. ㅤ Due to the high volume of shipments, the order may be delayed more than three days, for which we apologize and thank you for your patience.
