Jean Jacques VENTURINI - Femme à lunette/17

Shards of Freedom On a bold, almost electric blue background, the portrait of a woman stands out, her face turned three-quarters, the eyes hidden behind large square glasses where a miniature horizon—sky, sea, and sand—reflects. The motif repeats and moves: the same image of the outside world captured and doubled in the model's absent gaze. Her square glasses reflect a miniature horizon: sky, sea, sand. The landscape replaces her gaze. A blue, green, and white braided scarf crowns her head. It repeats the colors of the background. Touches of turquoise cross her amber skin, like islands of light. They sketch a singular geography. Silver hoops frame her face. Her slightly parted mouth bears a bright red. This canvas belongs to a series of seventeen variations. It explores the hidden gaze and the exposed skin. The painting is visible in the painter's studio We deliver all our works with a certificate of authenticity and an invoice.
