Jeanne Bieruma Oosting (1898-1994) - Bloemstilleven

This concerns a very beautiful flower still life by the well-known artist Jeanne Bieruma Oosting 1898-1994. Beautiful colors with a very fluid touch. The work is signed and in a magnificent condition. The painting is professionally varnished purely for protection and is in an excellent state. The beautiful gallery frame is included for free. An enrichment in every interior. meetings, the organizing of exhibitions and at the openings of the exhibitions. She was able to articulate her opinion, or, if necessary, a firm judgment in no uncertain terms. She was sharp and alert, but also very faithful in her collegial praise. Her presence was prominent, her diction staccato and, just like her handwriting, hurried. She was busy, but efficient in her time management (Call me in the morning before eight, otherwise it disturbs my work). The evenings were for opera, music and theater. Her attitude to life was positive, which became clear in her correspondence with Ida Gerhardt, who envied her for it and whose grimness contrasted sharply with it.[4]
